A practical humor & meditation workshop for people working across teams, cultures, and languages — in tech, management, sales, consulting, or on stage.
Develop your own humor for work and everyday life. Bring more playfulness into conversations while still feeling like yourself — especially if you think you’re “not naturally funny.”
People who work with other people. We realize that barely narrows it down.
No comedy, acting, public-speaking, or meditation experience is required.
Good humor starts with listening — to yourself and to what’s happening around you. Notice your thoughts and emotions, an unexpected detail, a double meaning, or the mood in the room.
Short guided meditations help us notice where our attention goes — including when we’re busy judging ourselves, forming opinions, or rehearsing what to say. We’ll practice coming back to the conversation, then use humor exercises to play with what we notice.
Two hours of workshop, followed by an hour to socialize and ask questions. Some experiments will be funnier than others. That’s why we call them experiments.
Warning! Results may include enjoying a conversation you didn’t rehearse.
Now on a serious note. (Humor is a serious business).
The workshop follows a five-part journey.
Each stage combines short discussions with guided meditation, partner exercises, group activities, improvisational games, and practical humor techniques.
We’re friends bringing our two practices together. This seemed like a good excuse to meet interesting people.
Andrey is a technology leader and co-founder of KAMIN Productions, producing comedy shows and cultural events in Minneapolis (USA). He’ll guide the humor exercises, drawing on his experience with comedy events and international teams to help you find your own way to be funny. He also knows how to use AI agents to write his own bio. They describe him as “a visionary.” He’s asked them to calm down.
Denis leads a distributed automotive software team spanning Belgium, China, Korea, and India, and teaches meditation in Leuven, Belgium. He’ll guide the meditation and awareness exercises, helping you notice more and react less automatically. Together with friends, he’s developing a meditation timer called Ding. Apparently, even doing nothing needed an app.
“I’ve always been told that I’m naturally funny, so I worried that analyzing humor or learning how it works might take away some of the spontaneity. I was completely wrong. The workshop gave me new insights, practical tools, and a much better understanding of how humor creates connection.”
“I wanted to perform at an open mic and challenge myself to step outside my comfort zone. Andrey’s approach gave me both the confidence to try it and a practical structure for developing my material.”
“I was absolutely sure that a sense of humor was something you had to be born with. Now I understand that it’s like going to the gym — you can use practical tools and exercises to get better. My goal is a six-pack. A six-pack of Stella, of course.”
Both begin with paying attention.
Meditation helps us notice our thoughts, emotions, reactions, and surroundings without immediately responding. Humor uses that same awareness to recognize contradictions, unexpected connections, and new ways of looking at familiar situations.
Both practices strengthen presence, observation, perspective, and comfort with uncertainty. Meditation creates the pause; humor helps transform what we notice into playfulness, connection, and shared understanding.
Absolutely. We’ll help everyone get acquainted and organise the pairs and small groups. No need to bring your own conversational partner.
Because it’s one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Oh, and a business trip.
No. You will not be required to perform stand-up comedy or share anything deeply personal. Just bring curiosity, an open mind, and a willingness to participate.
Yes. Even paying attention needs a break.
We’ll take a short break during the workshop, followed by a social hour to chat, ask questions, and get to know each other.
You’re welcome to attend for as much time as your schedule allows, and you may leave whenever you need to — we won’t lock the doors.
However, your registration covers the full workshop, so partial attendance does not qualify for a partial refund.
No surprise stand-up sets — we promise. The workshop includes interactive exercises, but most activities will be completed individually, with a partner, or in small groups. You can participate at your own comfort level, and nobody will be pressured to perform.
The workshop will be conducted in English. You do not need perfect English — accents, occasional mistakes, and creative vocabulary are all welcome. In fact, both Denis and Andrey speak with an accent. It’s an international workshop, after all.
Registrations are generally non-refundable. However, you may transfer your place to someone else — just let us know their name before the workshop.
If a serious illness, emergency, or another exceptional situation prevents you from attending, please contact us. We’ll consider refund requests individually and do our best to be reasonable human beings.
