A practical humor & meditation workshop for people working across teams, cultures, and languages — in tech, management, sales, consulting, or on stage.
Develop your own humor for work and everyday life. Bring more playfulness into conversations while still feeling like yourself — especially if you think you’re “not naturally funny.”
Workshop is in English.
Snacks and refreshments are provided.
People who work with other people. We realize that barely narrows it down.
You work across teams, cultures, or languages.
You want to connect more naturally without becoming “the office comedian.”
You think of the perfect response three business days later.
You believe you’re not naturally funny- or you are funny, but mostly by accident.
You’d like to bring more playfulness into professional and everyday conversations while still feeling like yourself.

No comedy, acting, public-speaking, or meditation experience is required.
Short guided meditations help us notice where our attention goes — including when we’re busy judging ourselves, forming opinions, or rehearsing what to say. We’ll practice coming back to the conversation, then use humor exercises to play with what we notice.
Four hours, twelve people, a break, and snacks. Some experiments will be funnier than others. That’s why we call them experiments.
WARNING! *Results may include enjoying a conversation you didn’t rehearse.
You: Observe your emotions, reactions, context around you, and personal story. Discover what makes your perspective distinctive. What makes you interesting?
You and a Partner: Practice listening, giving space, remembering details, responding naturally, and creating connection through shared humor.
You and a Group: Explore belonging, confidence, group dynamics, and the role humor can play within a team.
You and the World: Examine humor across cultures, identities, beliefs, genders, and professional environments, including practical examples of American and European communication styles.
You - Again: Return to yourself with greater awareness, a wider perspective, and practical tools for developing your own authentic sense of humor.
Each stage combines short discussions with guided meditation, partner exercises, group activities, improvisational games, and practical humor techniques.
Denis Kutuzov

Denis teaches meditation in Leuven, Belgium. He’ll guide the meditation and awareness exercises, helping you notice more and react less automatically. Denis also leads a distributed automotive software team spanning Belgium, China, Korea, and India. Staying present is easier than finding a meeting time across four time zones. We’re friends bringing our two practices together. This seemed like a good excuse to meet twelve interesting people.
Andrey Madan

Andrey is a technology leader and co-founder of KAMIN Productions, producing comedy shows and cultural events in Minneapolis (USA). He’ll guide the humor exercises, drawing on his experience with comedy events and international teams to help you find your own way to be funny. He also knows how to use AI agents to write his own bio. They describe him as “a visionary.” He’s asked them to calm down.
Here’s what people say after workshops:

“I’ve always been told that I’m naturally funny, so I worried that analyzing humor or learning how it works might take away some of the spontaneity. I was completely wrong. The workshop gave me new insights, practical tools, and a much better understanding of how humor creates connection"
— Alex G.

“I wanted to perform at an open mic and challenge myself to step outside my comfort zone. Andrey’s approach gave me both the confidence to try it and a practical structure for developing my material.”
— Liza B.

I was absolutely sure that a sense of humor was something you had to be born with. Now I understand that it’s like going to the gym- you can use practical tools and exercises to get better. My goal is a six-pack. A six-pack of Stella, of course
- Dmitro B.

You’re just one click away from doing something intriguing and crazy. Or not.
Both begin with paying attention.
Meditation helps us notice our thoughts, emotions, reactions, and surroundings without immediately responding. Humor uses that same awareness to recognize contradictions, unexpected connections, and new ways of looking at familiar situations.
Both practices strengthen presence, observation, perspective, and comfort with uncertainty. Meditation creates the pause; humor helps transform what we notice into playfulness, connection, and shared understanding.
Absolutely. We’ll help everyone get acquainted and organise the pairs and small groups. No need to bring your own conversational partner.
Because it's one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Oh, and a buisness trip.
No. You will not be required to perform stand-up comedy or share anything deeply personal. Just bring curiosity, an open mind, and a willingness to participate.
Absolutely. Sitting there for hours without a break and snacks would test everyone’s sense of humor.
We’ll have a break with light snacks and refreshments, plus plenty of time at the end to socialize, continue conversations, and connect with other participants.
You’re welcome to attend for as much time as your schedule allows, and you may leave whenever you need to- we won’t lock the doors.
However, your registration covers the full workshop, so partial attendance does not qualify for a partial refund. Consider the missed portion a generous donation to your future sense of humor. 🙂
No surprise stand-up sets- we promise. The workshop includes interactive exercises, but most activities will be completed individually, with a partner, or in small groups. You can participate at your own comfort level, and nobody will be pressured to perform.
The workshop will be conducted in English. You do not need perfect English- accents, occasional mistakes, and creative vocabulary are all welcome. In fact - both Denis and Andrey speak with an accent. In an international workshop, after all.
Because the workshop is limited to just 12 participants, registrations are generally non-refundable. However, you may transfer your place to someone else—just let us know their name before the workshop.
If a serious illness, emergency, or another exceptional situation prevents you from attending, please contact us. We’ll consider refund requests individually and do our best to be reasonable human beings.
